The best seam rippers going when I have to " unsew" part of my longarm quilting. Faster and more efficient than anything other. I ordered a dozen because quilt shops don't stock them.

Perfect size to keep in a retreat bag or keep in a pocket (with lid on) while you work.
Have been looking for these ever since I purchased at Houston quilt show. The best tool for removing stitches in paper piecing projects. Small enough to hold while pulling apart seams and cutting stitches. Very sharp! Buy more than 1 as you will love this little tool.
I'm a contract seamstress and crafter. I found these several years ago in a nearby quilt shop and instantly fell in love with them. I'm the seamstress for the University of Notre Dame Marching Band, not only altering uniforms, but using ‘retired’ uniforms to create pillows, purses, wallets, key chains/fob, etc., which means tearing apart a lot of uniforms, which is not easy since they’re made for durability. Prior to finding these seam rippers I’d snapped at least 8-10 normal styled seam rippers. The really great thing about these seam rippers is that they not only handle the tough ripping, but handle everything down to the finest stitch removal. I also do machine embroidery and have found I can remove even the finest embroidery stitches w/o damaging the fabric because you don't have to tug on the stitches to cut them as the blades are very sharp. I just can’t say enough about them! If you haven’t tried them you really should give them a try. BTW I now order them from Tooltron.com in groups of 12 so I never have to be w/o one and the perk of getting a discounted price!
Works well for ripping out machine embroidery stitches. Short handle allows for better leverage and control.
This little seam ripper is dangerously sharp, but is the favorite of all my rippers, or "unsewers." I've given numerous of them away and all agree "Jack" is the best ripper of them all!
That's right! I rate this the best ream ripper ever. I use a curved surgical blade type ripper, but it seems dull compared to this ripper. You just barely touch the tip of this ripper to the unwanted stitch and it is cut. Yes, that simple. Where was this ripper when I needed it. Like forever. I tried one of my fellow-quilter's ripper and was sold on this product. I purchased 5 of these, so I could share.
This little tool works so well I buy them by the dozens and give them as a little thank-you to friends...they love them too.
Great tool. Love it,,
